Wennersten Design & Construction Becomes an EPA Certified Firm

WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ - Wennersten Design & Construction received offi cial notice one day before the deadline to comply with the Environmental Protections Agency's new federal mandate for Lead-Safe work practices.
On April 22, 2010, the EPA  began requiring the use of lead-safe work practices aimed at preventing lead poisoning in children.  The rule became effective and firms performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified.
To comply with the mandate WD+C became a  certified firm and put Brian Wennersten, Project Manager,  through training to become an EPA Certified Contractor.  WD+C is proud to keep up with EPA regulations in their ongoing effort to protect the health of the occupants in each household that they work on.  Improving the indoor environmental quality of a home through lead safe work practices adds to measures already taken by WDC, including proper ventilation and the use of sealants and adhesives that have lower off gassing than traditional building materials.  For more information visit:
